The key aspects of benchmarking activities to ascertain the current (baseline) energy use covered in the webinar included:
- Scoping the product;
- Determining the information required;
- Market share and usage data sources;
- Multi-tiered calibration of survey and audit data;
- Product performance data and confidence testing;
- UNEP Country Lighting Assessments.
The presenter was Mr. Steve Coyne, UNEP Consultant, who specializes in lighting, photometry and daylighting and is a university Fellow. Mr. Coyne is Chairman of the Australian Council of Built Environment Design Professions and Past-President of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand.
