The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) en.lighten initiative and lites.asia hosted a free webinar on Thursday, 5 March 2015.
Establishing a functional monitoring, verification, and enforcement (MVE) infrastructure is critical to safeguarding the credibility of product energy efficiency standards and labelling (S&L) programmes, and to ensuring that S&L programmes realise expected energy savings. At the most critical level, market monitoring and verification are about the understanding, selection, and testing of products. The data collected through product testing provide policymakers with the information they need to encourage, measure, and enforce regulatory compliance.
This webinar explored the role of laboratory product testing in the MVE process. Participants received practical, in-depth guidance on the product testing process for single-ended omni-directional lamps, the interpretation of test results and the use of test results to inform MVE activities and other policy developments.
The webinar was presented by Li Jayond and My Ton representing CLASP.
