Since 2011, The Climate Group has been working to accelerate adoption of LED street lighting in cities around the globe. Under its LED Scale-up Project, it calls for every city and utility in the world to switch to LED street lighting (or as energy efficient as) by 2025 – and for policymakers to define clear long-term strategies that will encourage adoption of energy efficient technologies.
As part of this, it has launched the new LED city consultation handout to help discuss, identify and address remaining barriers to LED adoption and help accelerate scale-up of energy efficient street lighting globally.
