Inter-laboratory comparison testing exercise for LED lamps
In an exercise undertaken in 2014/2015, six laboratories (located in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) took part in an inter-laboratory comparison testing exercise for LED lamps. The exercise was commissioned by the UNEP-GEF en.lighten initiative, as part of the Southeast Asia and Pacific Monitoring Verification and Enforcement Project, supported by the Australian government. It sought to demonstrate how closely the results from the participating laboratories approached those from an experienced reference laboratory and thereby help them to strengthen their capabilities. Lamp characteristics measured included total luminous flux, active power, luminous efficacy, chromaticity, correlated colour temperature and colour rendering index and testing procedures followed the requirements of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) Draft International Standard DIS 025/E: 2014, Test Method for LED Lamps, LED Luminaires and LED Modules).
